How to invest your tax refund?

Anyone has any suggestions for what banks or companies are reliable and worth the risk to invest their tax refund money?

I am thinking about doing a CD for a year in some banks, but my fd said insured IRA has a better interest rate. Anyone has any experience or idea about it?

Thanks

The best investment would be paying down debt if you have it, particularly if you have any credit card debt. As far as other investments go, it really depends on what the money is for and when you need it. If it%26#039;s for retirement in 30 years, you should invest it more aggressively, probably in an IRA depending on your income. If you need the cash soon, then a CD makes sense. Don%26#039;t go by the interest rate, go by what you need! I hope your FA understands that!

Tax refund is only peanut, it is too little for investment. I think if you are young and prepare to continue to work for the next 30 years, you better think about the private pension plan or IRA with monthly investment deduct from your monthly income.
